When TV reared its ugly head in the late 40’s, all the experts said you absolutely must buy an oscilloscope to service TVs. This was my first ‘scope. The price at the time was a bit under $200. Soon I was told it was obsolete and must get a better one. The Jackson disappeared from my workbench but not from my mind.
I found this mint-condition Jackson on eBay for about $30. You’d better believe I bought it. I seldom use it, but it is nice to look at.
